1. Top Player Palmer Available for Important Capital Derby with Arsenal

Chelsea head coach Enzo Maresca announced on the final weekday that Cole Palmer is available for selection for the team's important top-flight encounter against local rivals Arsenal.

The young English international was out of action due to a fractured toe sustained after an accidental incident.

“He is ready to start and participate,” Maresca declared. “Everyone is happy.”

In the current campaign, Palmer has made only four appearances in all tournaments, scoring twice.

Since his arrival from City in the previous year, he has recorded 45 goals and 29 assists in 101 matches for the London club.

“He is our most valuable asset, we are pleased he is back, we need to allow him time to be 100% fit,” Maresca added. “He has done fantastic in the past and no doubt he is going to do very good for this club in the future.”

The Merseyside club were unsuccessful in their appeal against Idrissa Gueye's dismissal for an on-field altercation with teammate Michael Keane during the squad's 1-0 victory at Old Trafford.

The player promptly expressed regret, and the teammates were seen making up afterwards in a light-hearted online video.

However, the appeal against the dismissal was denied, and Gueye must complete a three-match suspension, leaving Everton shorthanded for their upcoming match against Newcastle.

“We have appealed it and our appeal was turned down,” coach David Moyes stated. “No explanation was provided for the rejection but we did appeal it.”

When asked about any further fallout from the incident, Moyes added: “It ended right away, it was done, that was it, we moved on rapidly and it was all sorted within the dressing room.”

3. Yoane Wissa Trains with The Magpies for Initial Session since Setback

Newcastle United's recent acquisition Yoane Wissa has practiced with his new teammates for the first time since suffering a knee problem soon after his arrival from his former club in the autumn.

Head coach Eddie Howe confirmed the news on the end of the week but did not disclose a potential return date for the 29-year-old.

The team brought in the striker for a significant fee to fill the void left by Alexander Isak, who moved to Liverpool for a record-breaking transfer fee.

Unfortunately, Wissa was injured while on national team service before he could make his debut for Newcastle.

“He is progressing nicely, he trained with us for the first time on midweek, so I was very happy with how he looked,” Howe stated. “It was his initial competitive session with the team. Let’s see how he reacts today.”

The manager added: “There is a planned comeback timeline, but it’s likely best if I withhold that information. We aim to avoid letting people down. Naturally, we want to involve him as quickly.”

Additionally, the defender will be sidelined for a month with a hamstring injury.

4. Liverpool' Poor Form ‘Irrelevant’, Insists West Ham Boss Nuno

West Ham United head coach Nuno Espírito Santo has insisted that the reigning champions' dip in performance “should not be a focus” as his team gets ready to face the struggling Premier League champions.

The Liverpool manager's team has lost six of the last seven Premier League matches, falling out of the top 10 of the table.

However, Nuno emphasized that there can be no room for overconfidence when the sides clash on the weekend at the their home ground.

“The Reds are a strong team and in football, what matters is what you do on the day,” Nuno commented. “So what we expect is the champions of the Premier League, players that are skilled and capable of doing fantastic things, so we have to get ready.

“The history of the outcomes before, the form of the teams, is not that important. It is about the day. Knowing that we are going to face a high-quality team, that has players able of doing wonderful things, so we have to prepare thoroughly, to perform.”

West Ham will have available Lucas Paquetá after his ban, while Crysencio Summerville and Dinos Mavropanos are progressing in their return from injury.

Fifth Story: Morgan Gibbs-White in Contention for Nottingham Forest against The Seagulls

The club's boss Sean Dyche is hopeful that Morgan Gibbs-White will be ready for the side's home fixture against Brighton on the weekend.

The England player missed Thursday's European game against the Swedish side due to a back injury.

“We hope it is improving,” Dyche commented as he prepared to face the Brighton manager's side, who have secured a decent haul from their last three matches.

“It’s like a bad back, but a morning sort of injury, one where you just rest awkwardly or move improperly. So we’re not expecting, at this stage anyway, that it’s very severe and it’s easing already. So we’re hopeful that it’ll be okay for the weekend.”

Murillo was experiencing discomfort in his hamstring muscle after the 3-0 European victory, but Dyche said the player “will likely be available”.

Meanwhile, Ola Aina (thigh injury), Douglas Luiz (thigh), the winger (hamstring), the striker (knee), and the defender (hip) are expected to be unavailable.

6. Glasner: European Loss Will Not Set Back Crystal Palace

The Eagles manager Oliver Glasner feels that the setback of Thursday's European defeat to the French side is a sign of how much progress the team has advanced in competing on two fronts.

The domestic cup winners went ahead at the away ground through Tyrick Mitchell's opening period goal but were pegged back by the opposition manager's team, who climbed to runner-up in the group standings.
