Ex- Doctor Accused of Sexual Assault Charges Involving Thirty-Eight Patients
Legal authorities have stated that a former physician stands accused of committing sexual assaults involving 38 victims who were under his care.
Details of the Grave Charges
Nathaniel Spencer from Birmingham faces allegations of dozens of sexual offences – comprising acts against children younger than 13 – between 2017 to 2021.
A deputy chief CPS official said, “Our prosecutors have worked at length to assist a thorough and intricate investigation, carefully reviewing the available evidence to establish that there is sufficient evidence to bring the case to trial and that it is in the public interest.”
Scope of the Police Inquiry
These allegations follow what police called a “detailed inquiry” into reported assaults at medical facilities: a hospital in Stoke-on-Trent and Russells Hall hospital.
Spencer is due to appear at the North Staffordshire justice centre on January 20th.
List of Charges
The charging documents said the 45 sexual offences comprise:
- Fifteen counts of assault.
- Seventeen counts of assault by penetration.
- 9 counts of assault on a minor under thirteen.
- 3 counts of assault of a child under 13 by penetration.
- 1 count of attempted penetrative assault.
