Nine people were hurt while local people in eastern neighborhoods were plunged into darkness and dealt with problems to water supplies, per reports from municipal leaders.
Meanwhile, a minor was fatally injured in a different Russian drone strike in the Zaporizhzhia area in the southeastern part, based on information from regional authorities.
Russian forces has intensified assaults on power infrastructure over recent weeks, while the country's government has called for "concrete actions" from allies to apply pressure on Russia.
"What is required is not superficial actions but firm measures - from the United States, European nations and the Group of Seven - in providing protection systems and implementing sanctions," was stated in a public message.
He said that numerous aerial vehicles and over thirty rockets struck Ukraine's energy infrastructure, labeling such assaults as "premeditated" and against "essential services" as winter approaches.
Government representatives said Moscow was "conducting extensive attacks" and technical staff were working to restore power.
A wave of strikes damaged power facilities and civilian homes in the capital.
Several of the people injured in the assaults on the capital have been hospitalized, according to municipal representatives.
Area administrators said the city came under heavy assaults during nighttime hours. A young boy was killed and multiple civilians were injured.
The assaults come after nights of aerial attacks in the territory, portions of which remain under the control of Russian forces.
The whole nation is on alert for sophisticated projectile assaults, which are harder to identify.
Authorities told journalists that Russia was deliberately attempting to destroy the electrical infrastructure, with strikes already disrupting gas facilities.
